MAXINE M. SLOVER Feb. 12, 1922 – August 2, 2011 Scio, Oregon Maxine M. Slover, age 89, lived in Scio all her life. She was born in Scio on Feb. 12, 1922. She was the daughter of Otto and Carrie Bilyeu. She passed away on Monday the 2nd from ovarian cancer. She was married to Raymond Slover June 15, 1943 in Spokane, Washington and they made their home in Scio where she had worked as a clerk for grocery stores for many years. She then worked as a clerk for Harbison hardware and plumbing. She enjoyed gardening and landscaping as well as taking pride in her home. Raymond preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her 4 brothers, 3 sisters and a great granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Baggett of Scio, Sharon King of Wyoming; grandchildren, Barry (Inga) Baggett, Dana (Susan) Baggett, Taunia (Doug) Burke, Shelly King, Chris (Karen) King, Desi (Paul) Kurkowski; and 11 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Willamette Valley Hospice. Graveside service will be held on Sat. Aug. 6th at 11:00 am at the Franklin Butte Cemetery in Scio.
