Maureen Margaret Boedigheimer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sibling, passed away in Salem, Oregon, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 3rd, 1937, in London, England, to Maud Gover and George Bryan, Maureen's life journey was marked by resilience, love, and joy.


Maureen's life was enriched by the bonds she formed with her family and friends. She married her beloved husband, Logan (Barney) Lee Barnwell, on August 14th, 1954, at St. Michael and All Angels Church in Shefford, Bedfordshire, England. Together, they raised their daughter Denise Schoonover, who brought them immeasurable joy. Maureen cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, finding immense happiness in the presence of her grandchildren, Lindsey and Ashlee Schoonover, and great-grandchildren, Cyrus, Zoey, and Logan.


Throughout her life, Maureen touched the hearts of those around her with her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit. She embraced various interests and activities, including her love for dressing up and dancing at the senior center, indulging in hobbies such as casino games, painting, ceramics, gardening, and traveling. Maureen had a passion for cooking and baking, often delighting her loved ones with her culinary creations. Her enthusiasm for English TV shows and admiration for the royal family reflected her connection to her roots.


Maureen's dedication to her community was evident through her memberships at the Ladies Golf Club, McNary Golf Club, Meadowlawn Golf Course, and the Elks Senior Center in Keizer. She shared cherished moments with her second husband Verl, enjoying golf outings, fishing trips, and adventures in Las Vegas.


Maureen's journey was marked by resilience, having endured the challenges of World War II in Wimbledon before settling in Shefford, Bedfordshire. She began her career at a young age, working at Moffes in Shefford and later at the Tudor Rose, where she painted windows for holidays and showcased her artistic talents.


In her later years, Maureen found solace in her faith, embarking on spiritual journeys to Italy and Rome with her church community. She also enjoyed memorable cruises to Greece and Turkey, savoring the beauty of new landscapes and cultures.


Maureen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Logan Barnwell, her dear husband Verl Boedigheimer, her daughter Denise Schoonover, and her son-in-law Michael Schoonover. She was also preceded in death by her siblings George, Terry, and Iris.


Maureen will be fondly remembered for her unwavering strength, generosity, and love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
