Matthew Lee Mcbeth

Matthew Lee McBeth passed away on the evening of Thursday, October 13, 2022. He was 53 years old.
Matt is a beloved husband, father, son, and brother that will be sorely missed. He was a friend to all. He was an influential high school teacher at Cascade High School in Turner, Oregon for 26 years.
He served his community well, not only as a Social Studies and Driver’s Education teacher at Cascade, but also as a strong supporter and advocate of student-led groups such as GSA. Matthew was well-known for his ability to challenge students to think critically about contemporary issues and examine alternate points of view from different perspectives.
Matt, or Mr. McBeth is remembered for his kindness, his patience, and his unwavering commitment to educating our youth. His passing has left a large void in the small community of Turner, OR as many grieve alongside his family at the circumstance of his sudden and tragic death.
A memorial celebration of Matthew McBeth’s life will be held at Cascade High School at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2022 in their auditorium.
