Mary Roxie Hunt

Mary Roxie Hunt July 13, 1928 August 2, 2009 Sublimity, Oregon Mary passed away on Sunday afternoon. She was born in Cozad, Nebraska to Thomas and Harriett (Tanner) Galligar. She married M. Dale Hunt on January 7, 1950 in Vancouver, Washington. Mary lived in South Dakota, Fruitland, Idaho and then moved to Stayton. Her first job was working in the Stayton Woolen Mills and then at the Stayton Cannery for ten years. The birth of her two sons had her stay at home to raise them. Dale her husband passed away on August 3, 2000. Mary enjoyed cooking, traveling and loved to fish with her husband. Survivors include her sons, John Hunt and Frank Hunt both of Sublimity; brothers, William Galligar and James Galligar of Ontario, Oregon; brother, George Galligar of Elgin, Oregon; sister, Helen Parker of Tokeland, Wash.; sisters, Harriett Myers and Rose Nole of Ontario, Oregon; three grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Galligar; and sister, June Galligar. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 6 at Weddle Funeral Services. A graveside service will at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 7 at Union Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, Oregon.
