Mary Elizabeth Mediger

Mary Elizabeth Mediger June 2, 1924 – March 8, 2011 Stayton, Oregon Mary was born to John and Elizabeth (Schufinder) Marah in Foreston, Minnesota.  She met and married Eugene ‘Bud’ Mediger on June 29, 1945 in Big Lake, Minnesota.   Mary worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for Josephine General Hospital, retiring in 1986 after 25 years of service.  Her home was filled with produce from her garden and home cooked delights.  The company of Family and Friends brought her great joy as well as the many hours of playing bridge.   Camping and the outdoors allowed for close family bonds and good times.  She held her faith close and her Church was an important part of her life.  Her husband, ‘Bud’ preceded her in death as did her son, Robert Mediger. She will be greatly missed by sons; Gary (Marnie) Mediger of Prairie City, OR, James (Candis) Mediger of Keizer, OR and daughter; Susan Hodges of Grants Pass, OR, Nine grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren.  Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 12, 2011, 2:00 P.M. at Weddle Funeral Chapel, Stayton, OR  She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
