Mary Alice Pileggi

Stayton- Mary Alice Pileggi was born May 17, 1936, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, to Stephen and Florence Zulaski. The family moved to Tillamook, Oregon in 1945 after living in many different locations, and Mary graduated from Tillamook High School. She enjoyed roller skating and ice skating and was even Grand Champion free style roller skater for Tillamook - Eugene.  In 1955 she would marry Vito Pileggi.  The two would would welcome five children, Stephen, Thomas, Angela, Richard and Joseph. Once married she lived in California, Eugene, Salem, and finally settled in Sublimity, Oregon. Mary worked as a bookkeeper until she retired. She was also an active member of the Women’s Elks of Keizer.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Florence Zulaski; her son, Stephen Pileggi; and her brothers Michael and Thomas Zulaski. She is survived by her children Thomas (Mimi) Pileggi, Angela Pileggi, Richard (Renee) Pileggi, and Joseph Pileggi; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and siblings Joe Zulaski, Stan Zulaski, Barbara Hopkins, and Francis Lushenko.  Memorial contributions can be made in Mary’s name to the Regis St. Mary Scholarship Fund.
