Mark E. Ling April 14, 1945 – October 28, 2010 Mark E. Ling was born April 14, 1945 to Lavern and Wilma Ling and raised on the same dairy farm as his father in Chippewa County, Wisconsin.  He passed away October 28, 2010 at the age of 65 in Malheur County, Oregon in the woods he loved so much.  He married Martha Heavilin in 1968 at New Auburn, Wisconsin.  He received a bachelor’s degree in Religion from MidWest Bible College in Missouri and served as a Pastor in Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan and Washington before retiring from Ministry in 1979. He moved to Portland, then Keizer before settling in the Stayton area 7 year ago – during which time he was self employed in his own landscape business, Old Pro Yard Care and was part owner in the Oregon Sunstone Ponderosa Mine.  He served his church as an elder and on the Church Board for many years.  Hunting and the outdoors were his passion but he especially loved spending time with his family, the grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Martha of Aumsville; parents, Lavern & Wilma Ling of Meridian, Idaho; son, Tony ( Marinda) Ling of Keizer, daughters, Judy (Jeffrey) Cymbaluk of Springfield, Missouri, Lucy (Arlen) Lawson of Turner; son, Curtis (Christina) Ling of Keizer; sister, Faith (Gary) Dullum of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Timothy(Valerie) Ling of Weyerhauser, Wisconsin, Steven Ling of Meridian, Idaho; sister, Joy Ling of Meridian, Idaho; step-grandfather, Lawrence Christiansen of Kansas City, Missouri; and 12 grandchildren. Celebration of life will be held Saturday November 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Marion Church of God (Seventh Day), 7478 Stayton Road SE, Turner, OR . Interment will be private.
