Mark D. Baker

May 31, 1957 — July 24, 2024

Mark Baker, born on May 31, 1957, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, lived a life marked by love, music, and hard work. He was the son of Patricia Ann Feusner and Vern Baker.

Mark cherished his family and for 24 years, Mark was devoted to Belinda Brown. Their love weathered life’s storms, and they shared dreams and laughter.

Mark’s hands knew honest labor. He worked in construction, leaving behind structures that would outlast him. But it was the rhythm of drums that truly moved him. An excellent drummer, he found joy in heavy metal, especially Metallica’s song “Unforgiven.”

Mark passed away on July 24, 2024, in Lebanon, Oregon and reunited with his grandparents, parents, sisters, Vickie Smith and Trudy Tonkin in addition to his beloved daughter, Mandy Lee Baker. He is survived by his long-time partner Belinda Brown; sister, Tonja Lewis; grandchildren, Anthony Brown, Brooklyn Brown, and Riley Nickeson. They’ll remember his laughter and stories.

Mark Baker’s journey has ended, but the beat of his life echoes in the hearts of those who loved him
