Marilyn Mclain

November 13, 1943 — December 19, 2023

Marilyn Kay McLain, 80, of Stayton, Oregon, passed away on December 19, 2023 and is now at rest in Jesus till the first resurrection at His Second Coming.


She was born on November 13, 1943 in Loma Linda, California, to the late Mabel Mildred McClelland Jenner and Earl Claude McClelland. She married James B McLain Jr. on January 27, 1962 in Redlands, California, and they shared 61+ years of love and devotion.


Marilyn graduated from Redlands High School in 1961 and worked as a cardiology office manager for many years. She was a faithful member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for 53 years and served as a pastor's wife for 25 years, providing music for several congregations. She was also a keyboard artist for a gospel singing group for 8 years, spreading joy and inspiration through her talent. She was an accomplished piano player and enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.


Marilyn is survived by her husband, James B McLain Jr.; her sons, Bradley Aaron McLain and Matthew Allen McLain; and her grandchildren, Lara, Ewen, Katelyn, Mazie, and Mia. She was preceded in death by her

daughter, Cheryl Ann McLain del Gaizo; her siblings; Jack, Margie, and Douglas; and her parents.
