Margie Mae Swartz April 13, 1925 February 3, 2011 Jefferson, Oregon Born in Spokane, WA, Margie graduated from High School in St. Helens. She met Ulys Red Asher and they married in 1946. They made their home in many areas of the Willamette Valley making Jefferson her home for the last thirty years. Margie owned the Storybook Kitchen in Salem for several years . She enjoyed gardening and baking, and was known for the best Prune Cake. She was an avid cookbook collector. She also fed and nurtured family and neighborhood pets. She is survived by daughters; Jo Ellen Odle of Lyons, Wendy Beacham of Scio, Melana Mendez of Jefferson, son; Kranklin Kurtz of Sweet Home, brother; Jessie Bodeker, sisters; Frances Swift, Bonnie Henneman, Susie, Betty, Ten grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, She was preceded in death by daughter, Laurie Asher Private Family Services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
