Margaret Wardine (Forrest) Jepsen March 17, 1922 April 2, 2009 Stayton, Oregon Wardine was born in Lyons, Ore. to Walter Ward Forrest and Emma Long Sandburg Forrest. She grew up in the Fox Valley area and went to high school in Mill City. She attended college at OCE in Monmouth and received a degree in elementary education. She taught school for several years in Mill City. Wardine passed away peacefully on April 2 with family and friends by her side. She was 87 years old.Wardine married Martin Jepsen on May 10, 1944. They had no children. Together, they pursued many other interests and occupations. Martin was an accomplished home builder. He built Wardines dream home on the hill between Lyons and Mill City, which they decorated tastefully with antique furniture. They owned and operated a restaurant, Caf
