Margaret Cuff was born on July 29, 1939 in Denver Colorado. At the age of 1 her family moved to the Salem-Keizer area. Marge would say that she was a bit of a tomboy and daredevil growing up. She married Earl Cuff in 1958 and found her passion as a wife and mother. Together they enjoyed going to the river, family picnics, Sunday drives and going to the coast for camp outs. Later in life they enjoyed taking trips together. They were truly the loves of each other’s lives! Family was very important to Marge and she was blessed with two children, Janet and Kevin. She was a wonderful mother and an amazing cook and baker. She was always cooking up something delicious in the kitchen. Some of her specialties were chicken and dumplings, lemon meringue pie and bread pudding with carmel fluff. Her baking skills led her to many blue ribbons and prizes that she won when entering her baked goods in fairs and festivals. Her family enjoyed many get together’s where there was always a pot of something delicious on the stove and a couple of beautiful pies on the counter for all to enjoy. Besides baking she loved to read and enjoyed any book that she found interesting. She also liked to sew and make things for her grandkids. She helped Earl quite a bit with his crop spraying business by taking care of all the bookkeeping and details of the business. They were a true team. In 2006 Earl passed away and it was very hard for Marge to go on without the love of her life. In the days after his passing she found comfort in her family and friends. Marge passed away peacefully on August 22, 2018 at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl and her son Kevin. She is survived by her daughter, Janet and son-in-law Bert China; Her grandkids, Brandon, Chris, Kyle, and Sierra; great-grandchildren, Mekhi, Jayden, Hannah, Hailey and Chloe; sisters Betty Mcmillan and Joanne Holler, and many family and friends. She was loved very much and will be missed greatly.
