Madlyn Ellen Boyd

Madlyn Ellen Cullen was born on January 8, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York to John and Madlyn (McCort) Cullen. She woud graduate from high school and attend college. Eventually, she would enlist in the Army Reserves as serve as an administrative specialist and would later end her career with the military as a cook. Madlyn would marry Philip M. Boyd on June 23, 2001 in Aumsville, Oregon. He would proceed her in death in 2016.

Throughout her life, Madlyn would also work for companies like Enron, City of Stayton and Chemeketa Community College doing administrative work. When not working, Madlyn enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading crime and suspense novels. She also would travel and would spend her holidays baking.

Madlyn passed away on June 16, 2022 in Salem, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philp M. Boyd and a brother, Paul Cullen. She is survived by her son, John Philip Boyd and daughter in law, Jennifer Ann Boyd; siblings, Michael Cullen, Timothy Cullen, John Cullen, Terrence Cullen, Adam Cullen, Mary Stern and Abigail Johnson; 4 grandchildren and one great grandchild in addition to many nieces and nephews.

A chapel service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 1pm at Weddle Funeral Service 1777 N. Third Ave. Stayton, OR 97383 with private burial at Willamette Nation Cemetery.
