Lyndell “Lynn” Sue Allen passed away from complications of Alzheimer disease on December 13, 2022 surrounded by family. Born in 1940 to Harold and Velma Karr, she was raised in Kearney Nebraska, the younger sister to Donald Karr. Lynn graduated from Corona High School with numerous awards and went on to complete classes at Riverside Community College and University Cal Riverside. Lynn was a consummate reader! She enjoyed reading books throughout her life.

Lynn married Bill Allen in 1959. Lynn loved her four boys and cherished caring for each of them at every age and stage. Lynn was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family, friends and neighbors. Her positive attitude about life was always present, no matter how difficult or challenged, Lynn made everyone around her feel special and happy. After her boys left home Lynn began a career, working for the Scio School District as the administrative assistant to the Superintendent of Schools. After many years she retired leaving a legacy of smiles and wonderful work for the students and staff of District 95. Lynn loved to travel with Bill and family and friends, seeing new places and making each trip an adventure. Most of all, the thing that made Lynn the happiest was being with family. Throughout her life, she made her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles feel like they were a priority; always willing to listen and provide encouragement with her smile and love! Lynn saw the good in everyone, never complained, just wanted all to be happy, healthy and loved as the beautiful mother and wife she was.
