March 8, 1917 — December 3, 2008

Lucy Miranda Rosanbalm March 8, 1917 December 3, 2008 Aumsville, Oregon Resident AUMSVILLE Lucy Rosanbalm, age 91, left her family and friends to join her beloved husband and son on December 3, 2008. Lucy was born in Abilene, Texas just north of her home of Buffalo Gap to James (J.T) and Mary Waldrop. She was raised in both Texas and Imperial Valley, California, along with her six brothers and four sisters. JT moved the family to California to become one of the first Ford then GM Auto Mechanics in the region. Mary remained a homemaker for most of her life. Lucy married Champ Clark Rosanbalm on January 30, 1938 in Yuma, Arizona. They raised their family, first in San Diego and Hemet California and then in Independence and Aumsville, Oregon. Living in Aumsville, since 1964, she enjoyed one of her favorite pastimes, watching her grandchildren fish, boat, and swim in El Laguna Descanso, her private five acre lake. Lucy loved life and she loved her children, Glenda Louise, Timothy Clark, James Nelson, Phyllis Rae, and Michael William. Everything that life provided was wrapped up in her love for them. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble, jewelry making, gardening, RV Travel, fishing, and the Oregon Coast where she enjoyed a second home on the Siletz River. She caught her last Salmon, a 30 pounder, at 89 years of age, as neighbors and friends cheered from their balconies on the River. She drank from the bountiful cup of life every day and gave thanks to the Lord for her good fortune. Her yard at her Aumsville home was always covered in flowers, as she spent lovely days working in her garden, especially tending her prized rose bushes. She reveled in watching the garden grow and eating from its abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables. Lucy is survived by her remaining four children, Glenda, Tim, Phyllis, and Michael; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and her three remaining siblings, Evelyn Walton, Audy Waldrop, and Olene Veach. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday December 13 at Weddle Funeral Home, 1777 N. Third Avenue, Stayton, Oregon. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, Oregon.
