LUCILLE  A.  CHAMP Sept. 18, 1922 – March 16, 2012 Lucille Anna Champ, 89, was born in Inola, Oklahoma.  She was one of 6 daughters born to William and Minnie Ingram.  Lucille moved to Silverton, Oregon at the age of 15 and attended the Silverton High School.  She was married to Dale Hunt, he preceded her in death.  She was married to Byron Champ in 1946 and they made their home in the Stayton area.  Byron preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1978 and she moved to California and Kansas before moving back to the Stayton area.  She enjoyed quilting and made quilts at the Peoples Church in Salem.  She had a passion for traveling the US and overseas.  She especially enjoyed travels to Paris, London, France, Israel and most of all the safari’s in Africa. Lucille was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Frank) Parrish of Bend, OR, Callie (Del) Dumire of Lyons; sons- in law, David Guenther of Salem and  Don Cates of Texas; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 5 sisters,  daughters, Linda Cates and Donna Guenther; and grandson, Jeff Guenther. Private family graveside service will be held at Lone Oak Cemetery, Stayton, Oregon. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
