Loretta (Ditter) Sullens

Loretta (Ditter) Sullens Jan. 25, 1923 Dec. 16, 2009 Sublimity, Oregon Loretta (Ditter) Sullens, 86, of Sublimity died Dec. 16. She was born in Sublimity, to Mathias and Anna Ditter, graduated from Stayton High School and lived in the Stayton Area all of her life. She worked at the Stayton Canning Co. from 1952 until retiring in 1979. She attended St. Boniface Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, yard work and visiting with friends and family. She was a warm, caring and Loving person and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Loretta married Ed W. Sullens on May 24, 1940; he preceded her in death on March 29, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her sister Alma Kline and brothers: Philip, Raymond and George (Sparky) Ditter. She is survived by her son, Doyle and wife Linda; daughter Diana (Dee) Hoekstre of Salem; Special friend Clifford Hoekstre and sister Wilma Rositzke of Sublimity. Viewing and a Rosary will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Weddle Funeral Services, Stayton at 11:00a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity, followed by a reception. Contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, in care of Weddle Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, Oregon.
