Loretta B Bates April 1, 1921 December 8, 2009 Loretta B Bates was born April 1, 1921 in Milnor, North Dakota to parents Charles and Mabel Weisenhaus. She was one of eight children. She moved with her parents and siblings to Aumsville in 1934. She graduated from Aumsville School where she met her husband Fay. They were married for 67 years. She worked at Paris Woolen Mill, Salem General Hospital and retired from Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic, after 16 years. She enjoyed traveling, and hunting and fishing trips with her family and friends. She also enjoyed doing needlework projects of all kinds, and giving them to family and friends. She loved her family. She was a very kind person with a heart of gold. She was a wonderful mother and wife. She will be missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Fay, brothers Clifford and Ervin, and sister Blanche. She is survived by her son Charles and wife Linda, Brother Floyd, sisters Allene, Ida and Violet, grandson Greg Quintal, (Tina) and two great-granddaughters, many nieces and nephews. At her request there will be no services. There will be a private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, Oregon.
