Linore Crabtree

Eugene – Linore, 103, passed away on December 15th in her home in the presence of family. She was born May 28, 1918 in Kingsford (Bienfait) Saskatchewan, Canada to Ward Alan Inglis and Rebecca (Reba) Linore Kinler. Linore graduated from Stayton High School and attended Willamette University for two years before marrying Dale T. Crabtree on June 15, 1938. Their 77 year marriage ended when Dale passed away in 2015. Linore, as a homemaker, raised six sons with Dale. After Dale fulfilled his military service during WWII, he and Linore settled in Stayton, Oregon where they opened a Western Auto Store. Later, Dale became an attorney-at-law. Over the years, Dale’s work as an attorney, required he and Linore to move from Stayton to Klamath Falls to Salem and finally Eugene. Linore, a follower of Jesus, practiced her faith throughout her life. In Eugene she was a member of Reformation Fellowship and supported Gutenberg College and the McKenzie Study Center. Linore was preceded in death by Dale, her parents, brothers, Robert Inglis and Alan Inglis, a sister, Jean (Inglis) Mayo, and sons, Thomas G. Crabtree of Dallas, Robert D. Crabtree of Jefferson City TN, and grandson, John David Crabtree of San Jose, CA. She is survived by sons, Donald K. Crabtree (Cheryl) of Dallas, OR, John (Jack) A. Crabtree (Jody) of Eugene, David W. Crabtree (Susan) of Eugene, and Kenton F. Crabtree of Juneau, AK. Survivors also include, daughters-in-law, Peggy Crabtree (Robert) of Jefferson City, TN, Kief Crabtree (Thomas) of Eugene; 18 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. A private interment will be held at the Lone Oak Cemetery in Stayton. Arrangements for a memorial service are yet to be determined.
