Linda Marie Pacheco

Linda Marie Pacheco was born on December 5, 1947, in Lihue, Hawaii on the Island of Kauai to William and Clara (Gomes) Rapozo. She was raised in Hawaii but would move to the Bay Area of California when she was 18. While in California she would meet William Pacheco while working on the military base. The two would be married on November 22, 1969 in Kealia, Hawaii on the Island of Kauai. This would start 39 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2008. They would raise two children together, Brandon and his sister Michele. In 1979, the family would move to Salem, Oregon and then to Scio, Oregon in 1993.  While in Oregon she worked for Cascade School District and then for Turner Elementary as a teacher’s aide. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, playing games and cards.  Her family was very important to her and even though a lot of them were spread out, she made every attempt to keep up with everyone’s lives. She made each one of her grandchildren feel special and cherished each relationship she had with them. On August 12, 2021, Linda passed away in Corvallis, Oregon.  She was preceded in passing by her husband, William; parents, William and Clara; and Sister Veronica Rapozo. She is survived by her children, Brandon (Chelsea) Pacheco, and Michele (Greg) Clinton); grandchildren, Riley, Kiley, Karter, Braelyn, and Laikynn; siblings, Richard (Evelyn) Rapozo, Kathleen Barretto, and Laure (Richard) Thacker; and nephews, Josh and Daniel and niece, Ashley. A graveside service will be held on Saturday August 21 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Jordan, Oregon.
