Linda Mae Cowdrey was born October 17, 1947, in Vancouver, Washington, to James and Eva (Haines) Blackwell. The family relocated to the Lebanon area where she graduated from Lebanon High School. Linda attended Chemeketa Community College, earning an associate's degree. She moved permanently to the Albany area in the 1970's. Linda married Dave Cowdrey and he took on the role of dad to her son Brian. She was a loving wife and mother, taking pride in her home and family. Linda was a dedicated caregiver and worked as a CNA at the Mennonite Village in Albany. She also loved children and was a foster grandparent for many years, giving much needed love and attention to kids in need. Linda also adored her own grandchildren Chase and Rainy. Some of Linda's hobbies included reading, gardening, camping, needle point, and volunteering in her community. She loved the Lord and was very active in her church, Grace Bible Fellowship. On June 25, 2021, Linda passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, leaving behind the hardships of this life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Cowdrey and her brother Lowell Blackwell. Linda will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind including her son Brian Wescott and daughter-in-law Trisha Yorton, and grandchildren Chase and Rainy Wescott.
