Letha Jean Sweet

LETHA  JEAN  SWEET July 12, 1931 – May 9, 2011 Sublimity, Oregon Letha Jean Sweet, age 79, was born in Hollister, Idaho.  The daughter to Charles and Celeste Human.  She graduated from Castle Ford High School in Idaho and Chemeketa Community College in Oregon.  She was a member of the Mehama Community Church since 1979, and was active in the Women’s Fellowship Group.  She was also a member of the 89er Chapter of Good Sam National Camping and the Willamette Historical Auto Club.  She was a breast cancer survivor. Letha was married to Robert A. Sweet on May 27, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 2009. She is survived by her children, William Cooke, Kerri Cooke and Leonard Cooke; grandchildren, Kimberly Delgado,  John Cooke, Jeffrey Hall, Christina Hall; great grandchildren, Madison Delgado,  Jackson Hall. Memorial  service will be held  on Sunday, May 15th at 2:00 pm at the Mehama Community Church. Private burial will be held at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland.
