LEONARD D. FOSTER April 3, 1923 – March 2, 2016 Sublimity, Oregon Leonard D. Foster was born in Turlock, California on the 3rd day of April, 1923. He passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the age of 92. The son of Percy and Anna Foster, Leonard was raised in Southern California. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was married to Doris Miller on June 28, 1947 in Monterey Park, California and they made their home in Red Bluff in 1955. Leonard drove truck for the lumber and cattle industry for over 45 years having retired at the age of 62. He continued working part time driving truck. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his animals, especially horses, sheep, chickens, cats and dogs. They moved to Sublimity, OR in 2003. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. In addition to his beloved wife Doris of Sublimity, he is survived by his daughters Sharon (Randy) Wills of Albany, OR, and Janice (Dave) York of California; 5 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, March 4th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Weddle Funeral Chapel in Stayton. Memorial service Saturday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Cascade View Free Methodist Church, 11677 Sublimity Rd SE in Sublimity. Graveside Service will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Red Bluff, California on March 12 at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Church, 625 Luther Rd. in Red Bluff. Memorials may be made to the Assembly of God Church, Far East Broadcasting, or David Wilkerson Ministries. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services.
