Leon Paul Arbuckle

LEON PAUL ARBUCKLE May 10, 1957 – September 28, 2011 Silverton, Oregon Born in Portland to Fremont and Cheryl Arbuckle, Leon grew up in Silverton and graduated from SUHS Class of 1975.  He was a was a member of Demolay during his high school years.  He married Dawn Hagedorn on September 18, 1976 .  He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Oregon College of Education in 1979.   Leon and Dawn opened Silver City Printing and served the community for many years until an accident disabled him.  He enjoyed computers, and spent many hours as a Beta Testor for the gaming industry.  Reading was also a favorite activity along with movies.  He treated his family to many good meals through his love of cooking.  He was a member of Silverton First Christian Church .  He will be greatly missed by his wife, Dawn, son, Chris (Sara) Arbuckle, daughter, Katie Arbuckle, grandchildren; Gwen and Liam Arbuckle, mother, Cheryl Arbuckle, brother, David Arbuckle, sister, Cherry Hoffman, and multiple nieces and nephews.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011  11:00 A.M. at Silverton First Christian Church.
