"Lee" Arthur Leroy Edwards Jr.

“Lee” Arthur LeRoy Edwards, Jr. was born on April 28, 1948 in Norfolk, Virginia to Arthur Edwards Sr and Lily (Fields) Edwards. Arthur would graduate from high school and join the United States Army where he would train other soldiers as sharpshooter. After being discharged he would earn an associate degree while living in Virginia.

He would move to the west coast and operate his own consulting company for 25 years. Lee would meet his wife, Leesa Fuller through his business. He hired Leesa and 6 weeks after hiring her, asked her on a date. They spent many years out of suitcases traveling all over for their business. Eventually, they would move to Mill City, Oregon where they have lived for the last 20 years. Lee and Leesa got married on August 22, 1987.

He would work for Norpac in Stayton and did newspaper delivery for the Statesman Journal. When not working, Lee and Leesa would enjoy drag racing bikes which they did for 10 years, watching NASCAR and collecting guns.

They were also blessed with one daughter, Destiny Edwards. Lee enjoyed being a father and Poppa very much.

Lee passed away on March 10, 2023 at his home in Mill City, Oregon surrounded by his loving wife.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur L. Edwards, Sr.; mother, Lily Dale (Fields) Edwards, an aunt, uncle and 4 cousins. He is survived by his wife, Leesa Edwards; daughter, Destiny Edwards and granddaughter, Payton St. Peter.

A service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Gates Community Church at 11am.
