Larry Thomas Brown was born on October 22, 1949, in Moline, Illinois to Gorman and Juliette (Rebuffoni) Brown. He was a military brat that would move around with his family, until later in life when he would settle in California from 1963-2003. He would attend El Cajon Valley High School and later receive his GED in 1966. For most of his life, he would be involved in the trucking industry. He started out driving tankers, later would drive dirt trucks and then would do flatbed hauling nationwide.
He would meet Debra Lynn Farpella who was his sister’s friend, he immediately became smitten by her, and they would marry on August 3, 1974, in Yuma, Arizona. Debra and Larry would move to Nevada in 2003 and in 2015 moved to Oregon. Larry was blessed with three children, Christina, Sean, and Brandy.
Larry was known to be stubborn at times, but when it came to his family, he would do anything for them. He loved motorcycles, old cars and collecting guns. In his younger days, he would go out shooting. When he lived in California and Nevada, he enjoyed taking his boat out. But his best days were usually spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry and Debra were able to take one last trip together before his passing to Alaska, it was a memorable and special trip that they could enjoy together after 48 years of marriage.
Larry passed away surrounded by the love of his family at home, on September 12, 2022, in Salem, Oregon.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Lynn Brown; children, Christina Castle, Sean Brown, and Brandy Decker; siblings, Sharon DeMonto, and Karen Ferguson; grandchildren, Samantha, John, Evan Childers, Aubrey and Jenna Dawes, Logan, Landon, Liam, Lucas, and Luna Decker-Hoyer.
