KunSuk Finnell was born January 15, 1956, in Seoul, Korea, to Sun Dong and Yon Ye (Kim) Yang. She grew up in Korea and came to the United States in the mid-1970s where she started a family, welcoming son David followed by twins Ali and Art. KunSuk was an incredibly hard worker and well known for her work ethic. She worked a few jobs over the years but spent the most time at JeldWen in Stayton where she worked for 17 years.KunSuk had an incredible green thumb and a love of gardening. Each year she would grow a bounty of vegetables as well as beautiful flowers for all to enjoy. She was a great cook and loved to make big meals for the family and enjoyed the time they spent together. KunSuk also loved fishing the lakes and rivers, her first fish ever caught was a sturgeon from the bank of the Columbia River in Washington. Oil painting was another hobby she had, using her talents to create paintings for her family.KunSuk was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John Finnell. She is survived by her children David (Tara) Finnell, Ali (Brett) Flack, and Art (Cherona) Finnell; and grandchildren Lexie, Shelby, Jonathan, Liam, Faith, Carter, Chadwick, Ashlynd, John, and Kara.
