In Loving Memory of Krista Jean Seaton

March 13, 1980 – September 20, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Krista Jean Seaton, a loving daughter, mother, sister, and compassionate nurse. Krista was born on March 13, 1980, in Roseburg, Oregon, to her parents, Pamela Sue Cree and Dennis Robert Peterson. Her legacy is one of dedication, love, and unwavering care.

Krista's life was a testament to her love for family. She was the proud mother of Johnethan Phillips and Kendal Seaton, and a cherished sister to Melissa Blocher. In addition to her immediate family, she shared a special bond with her half-brother, Scott Peterson. Family was the cornerstone of her existence, and she leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring love that will forever live in the hearts of her loved ones.

A graduate of Roseburg High School in 1998, Krista pursued her passion for nursing, obtaining a nursing degree from Umpqua Community College in 2000. With her newfound skills and unwavering dedication to patient care, she embarked on a remarkable journey as a traveling ER nurse, providing vital medical care in California and Arizona. Her desire to heal and make a difference was undeniable, and her kindness touched the lives of many.

Krista's final destination was Salem, Oregon, where she dedicated 15+ years of her life as a Registered Nurse at Salem Health. Her colleagues and patients revered her for her unwavering dedication and the compassionate care she provided in the ER Department. Her commitment went above and beyond, and she was rightly described as a "hero" for her exemplary work. She was awarded the prestigious title of "Role Model for Excellence" by Salem Health, a testament to her extraordinary dedication.

Beyond her professional life, Krista's passions included a love for Quarter Horses, which she showed as a child and teenager, earning her a place among the top three in Oregon. Kirsta had also qualified for the AQHA world show in showmanship and made countless close friends over the years showing. Her adventurous spirit also led her to enjoy the beauty of Lincoln City glass ball floats and treasure hunts for an entire decade.

In memory of Krista, we can continue her legacy of love and care by making memorial contributions to Horses for Hope, a cause close to her heart.

Krista Jean Seaton was preceded in death by her grandparents and two beloved aunts. While she is no longer with us in person, her love, compassion, and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Krista's journey on this earth was marked by love, selflessness, and a profound commitment to making the world a better place. Her memory will continue to inspire and uplift those who were touched by her presence.

May she rest in eternal peace, and may her spirit shine on as a beacon of love and compassion for all who knew her.
