Kevin P. Mckinstry

June 17, 1956 – Nov. 5, 2011 Stayton, Oregon Kevin P. McKinstry passed away on Saturday, November 5th at his home in Stayton.  He was 55 years of age. Kevin was born in Chico, California.  He attended Ojai prep school, Ventura and Pierce college and received his nursing degree.  He worked at the Camarillo State Hospital and CPC Vista Del Mar Hospital as a licensed Psychiatric Technician.  He married Christine Walker on Feb. 5, 1983 in Ojai and they made their home in Ventura and Oak View before moving to Stayton in 1998.  He enjoyed playing and coaching  soccer leagues, video games, bowling, golf, fishing, and the outdoors, he also enjoyed the “Grateful Dead”. He is survived by his wife, Christine; parents, Art and Joyce Biscoe of Sublimity; sister, Sandi (Irvin) Schlabach of Stayton, twin sister, Shannon (Keith) Jerman of Laurel, Delaware; brother, Kolin McKinstry of Stayton; nieces and nephews, Misty, Keith, Kevin, Tommy, Felicia and Mandy. Funeral service will be Wed. Nov. 9th at 2:00 pm at Weddle Funeral Chapel, Stayton. Memorials  to the Ojai Valley School in Ojai, CA
