Kevin A. Kier

July 16, 1974 — June 8, 2024

Kevin Kier, born on July 16, 1974, in Albany, Oregon, passed away on June 8th, 2024. He was the beloved son of Judy and the late Leo Kier. Kevin graduated from Lebanon Union High School in 1992 and later served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and retired from the Linn County Sherif’s Office after many years of dedicated service to his community.

A true outdoorsman, Kevin found joy in fishing, hunting, and tending to the land. He spent several years patrolling the lakes and waterways as a member of the LCSO Marine Patrol Unit, and provided training in water safety to the public, as well as classes in tracking and other topics to his fellow law enforcement colleagues. His hands were equally skilled at fixing cars and farm equipment, a talent he generously shared with friends and family. He also enjoyed traveling with his girlfriend, Leilani, and her son Anthony, on many personal adventures.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Judy, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Laura, several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; stepsons, Eric and Aaron Blanchard; and girlfriend, Leilani Croswhite and her sons, family and grandson who regarded Kevin as an important part of their life; all of whom will forever hold his memory. His father, Leo, preceded him in death.

In remembering Kevin’s life, we recall his adventurous spirit, unwavering dedication, and the impact he made on those around him. May he rest in peace.

Donations in Kevin’s name can be made to any Local VFW/American Legion Post, or the Oregon Veteran’s Home in Lebanon, OR.

A service with military honors will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11am in Weddle Funeral Service 1777 N. Third Ave. Stayton OR 97383. With private burial located at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
