Kaye Louise Fox (née Elliott) , caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away after a brief illness on August 25, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Kaye was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support of her family and community.

She was born on December 7, 1944, to David and Bernice Elliott in South Bend, Indiana. She had nine siblings and half siblings. Growing up, as the youngest of the children, her family affectionately referred to her as "Dolly".  After completing high school, she attended bible college in Nebraska and in her early 20s moved to Southern California where she met her

husband, Phillip (Phil) to whom she was married for 55 years. Together they had two children, Geoffrey (Geoff) and Stacia.

Shortly after Geoff was born, Kaye and Phil moved to Northern California and Stacia was born two years later. While living in Northern California, Kaye was active in her children’s lives - coaching their soccer teams, volunteering in the classroom, and even taking a job at the private school they attended.

In 2005, Phil retired and he and Kaye moved to Brownsville, Oregon where she lived until the time of her passing. While in Brownsville, Kaye continued to devote herself to children and to her community through serving in the Foster Grandparent program, the Brownsville Senior Center, the City of Brownsville Planning Committee and the City of Brownsville Budget Committee. She and Phil also served together by volunteering for the local Gleaners organization.

One of Kaye's greatest joys in life was to be a Grandmother to her five grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and made sure her home was filled with toys, trinkets, and treats that they would enjoy when they visited.

Kaye is survived by her husband, Phil and her children, Geoff Fox (Amy) and Stacia Gilchrist (Matt) and grandchildren: Neve Teames, Kaden Fox, Brenden Fox, James (JP) Gilchrist, and Margaret (Maggie) Gilchrist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, half siblings, and many dear friends and

loved ones.

She will be missed immensely, and her memory will be forever cherished by those who knew

her and loved her.

A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Kaye's

name to the Brownsville, Oregon Senior Center or your local Gleaners organization.
