Kathryn Norma Gracik

Kathryn Norma Dengate Gracik, born on April 17, 1940, in Tracy, California, to Raymond and Norma Dengate, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024.

Kathryn was the beloved wife of Don Gracik, with whom she shared a life full of love and adventure. She was the devoted mother of Rick Massella and Debra Massella. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was a cherished grandmother to Rick Massella Jr., Paul Massella, Aaron Massella, Seth Massella, and Stacey Boatwright.

She is also survived by her dear siblings, Elizabeth Craig and Margaret Treat who remember her as a loving sister and friend.

Kathryn attended trade school and built a diverse and accomplished career. She was also tenacious, strong-willed, and groundbreaking as a woman in the heavy construction industry. Her dedication and hard work were evident in every endeavor she undertook. Kathryn was a proud member of the Operating Engineers and the Foresthill Safety Club, where she contributed significantly to her community.

Kathryn overcame many medical obstacles, including a heart transplant 24 years ago, demonstrating her fighting spirit. She liked to tackle complex problems and had a brilliantly organized mind. She was a true entrepreneur with a varied career.

Throughout her life, Kathryn found joy in various hobbies such as gardening and volunteering. Her vibrant spirit and generous heart touched the lives of many.

Kathryn will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her strong work ethic, and her commitment to her community. She will be truly missed by her family, who was her everything.
