It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Kimberly Claybaugh, a beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother. Karen was born on November 13, 1960, in Orange, California, to the late Wesley and Marjorie Brown. Tragically, she left us on November 6, 2023, in Albany, Oregon, just days before her sixty-third birthday. Her departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
For the past three decades, Karen called Oregon her home. During her time in the state, she donned several hats, including that of a dedicated waitress and bartender, roles through which she developed lasting relationships with patrons and coworkers alike. In her later years, she transitioned into a role as a compassionate in-home caregiver, a testament to her nurturing and caring nature. Throughout her life, Karen pursued knowledge and professional growth, earning various certificates and degrees, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those under her care.
Karen had a passion for exploration and creativity. She adored traveling to new places, experiencing the world's diverse cultures, and sharing the wonders of her adventures with friends and family. She was a gifted artisan and spent countless hours designing exquisite handmade jewelry, showcasing her innate talent for the arts and crafts.
Her kind and generous spirit, accompanied by her radiant smile, had a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Karen's beautiful heart touched the lives of many, and her presence brought comfort and warmth to those who needed it most.
Karen is survived by her loving son, Shane Michael Brown, and her adored grandson, Bradly Michael Brown. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to be a part of her life.
