Karen Irene Myrick was born on July 21, 1943 in Sublimity, Oregon to Harold and Adeline (Ellis) Schott. She was raised in Sublimity and attended both Stayton and Cascade High Schools. She met her husband Ray Myrick while he was enlisted in the service; they dated for two years and married in 1963. Together, Karen and Ray raised their family in Aumsville since 1975. She worked at Fairview as a caregiver for many years. After Karen and her husband retired, they enjoyed volunteering at Fisherman’s Bend where she would work in the office. They would also attend the Schott family reunions where they would all get together and camp out at Fisherman’s Bend. Karen was a true outdoorswoman who enjoyed camping and fishing. She passed away on February 18, 2019 in Aumsville, Oregon at age 75. Karen was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Kay Becker, Janet East, Gary Schott and Delores Schott. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Ray E. Myrick, Sr. children, Ray Eugene Myrick, Jr., Curtis Jay Myrick, Terry Lee Myrick, Brian Erick Myrick; grandchildren, Brandalynn Myrick, Alexander Myrick, Wesley Allen-Myrick,; great grandchildren, Carlton Myrick, Zoey Schott, Noah Schott; siblings, Thelma Mitchel, Larry Schott, Ruthann Rousseau, Jerry Schott and Elaine Schott.
