Josephine Marie Clemetson

JOSEPHINE MARIE CLEMETSON Oct. 23, 1914 – Sept. 14, 2010 Silverton, Oregon Josephine M. Clemetson was born at Wolford, North Dakota on the 23rd day of October, 1914.  The daughter of Herman and Freda Christenson.  She was married to Alden Clemetson on Oct. 13, 1941 in Wolford.  She had taught piano and also played piano for Aldens band “Al Clemetson & the Royal Knights”.  They moved by train to Silverton in 1941 where she worked for a local grocery market.  She was a life member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and had played piano and sang in the Church Choir, she had also taught Sunday School for many years.  She was a member of the Evergreen Gold Club and the Salem Senate-aires.  She enjoyed canning and cooking.  Alden preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2000.  She is survived by her son, John (Toi) Clemetson of Salem; daughter, Mary (James Holmes) of Salem; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private graveside service was held at Valley View Trinity Cemetery in Silverton.  Coffee Hour will be held to honor her after the 10:30 am Church services, Sunday, Sept. 19th at Trinity Lutheran Church, Silverton, Oregon.
