Joseph P. Parsons

Joseph Phillip Parsons Jan. 14,1940 July 31, 2011 Joseph Phillip Parsons passed away early Sunday after a long battle with cancer.  He was a local painting contractor for many years before he retired to travel with his wife of 52 years, and raise birds and cattle on his small farm.  He was always good for a funny story and loved to laugh. Born January 14, 1940 in Midland, PA, Joseph is survived by his wife, Yvonne Ann; son, William James Parsons of Salem; daughters, Katherine Lynn Dalton of Stayton and Jovonne Ann Parsons of Salem; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Parsons of Monaca, PA, Bill Parsons of Houston, TX, Dan Parsons of Surfside Beach, TX; and sister, Nancy Brucker of Canton, Ohio. Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Weddle Funeral Chapel, Stayton. In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to the Willamette Humane Society.
