Jose Jesus Lizaola

Jose Jesus Lizaola-Guzman was born on July 10, 1931 in La Villita, Ameca Jalisco Mexico to Francisco Lizaola-Garcia and Maria Guadalupe- Guzman. Jose moved from Mexico to the United States when he was 16 years old. He married his wife Maria Sandoval in 1955 and they shared 64 years of marriage together until her passing in 2017. Jose worked on the railroad and later on got a job at Norpac where he worked for 23 years as a production worker. He retired from Norpac only 3 years ago because he enjoyed getting up early every morning and working hard. In addition to his work at Norpac, he also farmed in Burns raising cows and growing wheat. Besides working hard, Jose’s hobbies included playing the casino slots at Spirit Mountain, shopping and spending time with his family. He would often times tell his children stories of growing up and about his life. Family was incredibly important to Jose; he loved his children very much. Jose passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on April 16, 2018 surrounded by family. He is predeceased by his wife, Maria and son, Gilberto. Jose leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 11 children, Elena, Laura, Lupe, Ana, Rosalia, Elsa, Pilar, Adrian, Francisco, Miguel and Enrique; 51 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way in addition to many other extended family members and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2018 from 11am until 9pm with a 7pm Rosary at Weddle Funeral Service, followed by a Christian Mass of Burial on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11am in Immaculate Conception Parish 1077 N. 6th Ave Stayton, OR with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Stayton, OR. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Service.
