John F. Horton

A potluck style celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 22nd 2018 at 3pm at the Canyon Bible Fellowship Center in Lyons for John F. Horton who passed away on July 4, 2018 In Mill City after a motorcycle accident at age 66. John was born on February 25, 1952 in Bakersfield, California to Jesse S. and Opal (Ledbetter) Horton. John served honorably in the Airforce and was a member of the American Legion. About 20 years ago he moved to Oregon to be closer to family and most recently was living in Mill City. John enjoyed time with his family and loved riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Edna and Martha. John is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Horton of Aumsville and Kimberly Ford of Albany; children, Rita, Carmen and Johnny of Oklahoma; sister, Alice of Oklahoma; brothers, JD of Mill City and Emery of Nebraska and 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
