Joe Michael Erwin

Joe Michael Erwin was born on August 17, 1967 in Salem, Oregon to Brenda Erwin. He attended McKay High School, upon completion of his GED he began a long time career doing floor coverings in which he spent 30 years of his life excelling at everything from carpet to countertops. Joe was an incredibly gifted tradesman and really excelled at his craft. Eventually, Joe transitioned to a new field when he began a career with Landmark Pacific which he loved, Joe’s job took him to the top of steel building construction sites. He would travel all over to do this work and never minded being so high up. Joe was also an adrenaline junkie who loved to sky dive, river fish and could literally work on anything whether it was cars or home repair items. On his birthday in 1991 he married Annette Jones. Joe was incredibly close with his family, he was a true animal whisperer as there was never a dog he could not get along with and children were attracted to his kind and loving nature. Joe passed away peacefully on April 1, 2018 in Sublimity, Oregon. He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Erwin and he is survived by his loving wife, Annette; his siblings, John Hayward, Jeff Hayward Jessie Vasquez and Nonnie Gore. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in Joe’s name to Willamette Valley Hospice for loving care they gave him. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Service.
