Joann Frances Robson

JoAnn was born in Aumsville, Oregon to parents Harvey and Cecilia (Silbernagel) Fery. She passed away in the afternoon with loved ones by her side.

She was 9 months old when the family moved to a farm on Old Mehama Road in Stayton, Oregon. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated with the class of 1957 from Stayton Union High School. She then went to work for the State of Oregon (SIAC) as an Administrative Assistant for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Keizer. She enjoyed going on cruises, going to the casinos, bowling, gardening, yardwork and going to monthly luncheons with classmates.

She married Wally Wittrock on December 15, 1972, he passed away on October 1, 1978. JoAnn then married Tom Robson on April 8, 1988; he passed away March 28, 1999.

She is survived by her sister Jeanette (Larry) Griesenauer of Salem; brother Joe (Karen) Fery of Scio; brother-in-law Clark Smith of Stayton and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded by her parents Harvey and Cecilia Fery; sister Janice Smith and nephew Scott Griesenauer.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Keizer on October 11, 2022, with Rosary at 10:30am, Mass at 11:00am and Reception to Follow.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Stayton, next to her late husband Thomas.

Family has requested contributions to St. Edward’s Catholic Church. Weddle Funeral Services is handling arrangements.
