Jim E. Walker

March 28, 1933 – March 22, 2011 Lyons, Oregon Jim Walker was born at Long Beach, CA. on the 28th day of March, 1933.  He passed away on Tuesday the 22nd at his home, he was 77 years old.  The son of Earl James and Madalene Walker.   Jim  lived in California before moving to Salem in 1972.  He had served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and had worked as a downtown development administrator for the City of Salem before retiring 15 yrs. ago.  He was an avid photographer.  He also enjoyed model ship building and listening to classical music.  He was married to Cynthia Wilcox in Salem in 1998.  In addition to his beloved wife, Cynthia, he is survived by his daughters, Cammie (Jim) Walker of Willow, Alaska, Mila (Tom) Cosgrove of Juneau, Alaska and Goldman Miller of Valdez, Alaska; step daughter, Kelly Spivey of New York; step son Joshua (Lori) Spivey of Portland, OR; and 9 grandchildren. Celebration of life will be held Monday, March 28th at 1:30 pm at Weddle Funeral Chapel, Stayton, OR. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Willamette Valley Hospice or Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services Stayton, OR.
