Jerry John Dejong

Jerry John DeJong, 68, of Scio passed away on November 24, 2022. He was born on July 11,1954 in Turlock California to Johannes and Johanna DeJong.
The youngest of 7 kids his parents came from the Netherlands. He grew up on his parents dairy and in 1970 he moved to Oregon with his parents. Jerry went on to graduate from Lebanon High School with the class of 1972.
He ended up back in California were he met Gale DeJong the mother of his children. He eventually started farming in the Willamette Valley and going on to own his own dairy farm which his son still runs today.
He is survived by his five siblings; his four children, Carl, Johannes, Marianne, and Hannah; seven grandchildren, Michaela, Austin, Laiken, Trenton, Brayden, Keira, Wyatt, plus one on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents Johannes and Johanna, his brother Peter, and grandson Tiegan.
Graveside service will be held Saturday December 10, 2022 at Franklin Butte Cemetery in Scio, Oregon
