Jennifer Louise Wilson, fondly known as Jenny Lou to family and friends, was born in

Reedsport, Oregon, on August 16, 1969. She joined mother, Alice, father, Jim, and two adoring

older sisters Candy and Cindy Jo. She was often played with and dressed up, including nail

polish, hair decorations, jewelry and fun clothing. Perhaps this jump started her life long love of

dressing up and adding a bit of sparkle.

Jenny Lou started school in Reedsport and enjoyed the coast before moving with her family to

The Dalles in 1978. After a couple of years there, they moved to Mill City where she graduated

from high school in 1987. She then moved back to the coast for a while and attended

Southwestern Oregon Community College.

On July 22, 1995, Jenny Lou married Jimmy Polk in the yard of the Mill City house with many

family and friends there to celebrate.

Salem was her long time place of residence and she worked at Kal Kustom Enterprises in

Salem for many years as office manager. In later years, she lived in her parents’ home in Mill

City and the Gates Community Church became an important part of her life. She made many

friends there and was drawn closer to the Lord as well. She also worked as church secretary

for several years.

One of Jenny Lou’s favorite things to do was crafting. She and her sewing machine made

clothing, doll clothes, costumes, pillow covers and other fun items. She participated in making

stained glass pictures, leather working, ceramics, painting and photography but her most

favorite was beading and jewelry making. Many friends and family members are the proud

owners of beautiful earrings, necklaces, bracelets and other items. Beading and jewelry making

was her happy place.

Her nieces and nephews really enjoyed her style from the clothing she wore, her hairstyles, the

music she listened to, how she would play with them, her love of all things Halloween, to her in

depth discussions of horror movies. Her smile lit up a room and her laughter was contagious.

We will miss her style, her art, and her love, forever and always, until we are reunited in

Heaven. Jenny Lou was much loved in the Mill City/Gates community as well and will be

missed by many.

Jenny Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Alice Wilson, and brother-in-law Mark

Norenberg. She is survived by Jimmy Polk; oldest sister Candy and Jub Leelaamornvichet,

their four children Kitty, Libby, Kimmy and Travis and their families; next sister Cindy Jo

Norenberg, her three children Meghan, Vivian and Paul and their families; many aunts, uncles,

and cousins.
