Jeffrey Lyle Wolgamot

Jeffrey Lyle Wolgamot, known to his friends and loved ones as Jeff, passed away peacefully on June 10th, 2023, in Salem, Oregon. Born on December 3rd, 1956, in Kenton, Ohio to Myrna and Jack Wolgamot. Jeff was one of five sons including, Gary, Ross, Randy and Bruce. Jeff was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by many.

Jeff attended North Salem High School, where he made lifelong friendships and discovered his passion for working with his hands. Jeff pursued a career in construction, eventually finding his niche in the lumber mill industry. Jeff took great pride in his work and his dedication to his craft was evident to the many who knew him. Later in life, Jeff's journey led him to work at Pete's Fish Market, where he was able to share his love for fishing with the local community.

Throughout his life, Jeff enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening. He spent many hours out at sea, the local river or pond. Growing up Jeff spent countless nights playing in local pool hall tournaments, creating cherished memories with friends and family. His love for the outdoors was infectious and he was always eager to share his knowledge and passion with others. Later in life, he spent some of his time working at a close friend’s nursery, taking pride in making beautiful flower arrangements.

Jeff loved his two daughters, Whitney Sherer and Hannah Wolgamot. He cherished the time he spent with his three grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kaiden, and Preston.

In addition to his immediate family, Jeff leaves behind a wide circle of friends who loved and admired him. His generosity, wit, and genuine kindness touched the lives of many, and his memory will live on through the countless stories and memories shared by those who knew him.

Jeff's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his spirit will continue to thrive in the lives of those he touched. As we remember Jeff, let us celebrate his life, his love for the outdoors, and his love for his family.

Jeffrey Lyle Wolgamot will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, dear Jeff, and may your spirit inspire and guide us as we navigate the waters of life.
