Jeffrey Charles Allison, known to friends and family as Jeff, passed away of natural

causes on April 4th, 2023, in his hometown of Salem, Oregon. Born on December

5th, 1953, to William and Ione (Halvorsen) Allison, Jeff lived a life full of

adventure, love, and passion.

Jeff graduated from North Salem High School and went on to work as a steel

fabricator at Stephen's Equipment for 38 years. He was proud of the work he did,

helping to build buildings and bridges that would stand the test of time. The most

defining moment in his career, and the accomplishment he liked to brag about

the most, was his involvement in building the handrail for the iconic Golden Gate

Bridge. This achievement was a testament to his hard work and dedication to his

craft.

On May 13th, 1978, Jeff married the love of his life, Joyce Anne Beskow, in Salem,

Oregon. Together, they raised two sons, Michael and Bradley Allison. Jeff was a

devoted father and husband, always making time for his family and instilling in his

children the importance of love, kindness, and adventure. He was overjoyed to

welcome two daughter-in-laws, Debbie Allison and Gennifer Bennett-Allison, into

the family, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Bree Allison and Liam Bennett-

Allison. Jeff's love for his family was evident in the way he spoke about them and

the time he spent with them.

In addition to his immediate family, Jeff is survived by his siblings, Dan and Chuck

Allison. The bond between the brothers was strong, and they shared many

memories and experiences throughout their lives. Jeff's love and loyalty to his

family extended to his siblings, and he leaves behind a lasting legacy.

Jeff was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for hunting, fishing, and camping.

He hunted deer, elk, and dove, fished for everything from trout to salmon, and

loved to camp in the great outdoors. His favorite pastime was sharing stories from

his many adventures, captivating listeners with tales of his latest catch or the

elusive buck that got away. Jeff's enthusiasm for the outdoors was infectious, and

he often joked that he could out-hunt or out-fish anyone, always eager to show

others the ropes.

As Helen Keller once said, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." This

quote perfectly encapsulates the adventurous spirit that Jeff embodied

throughout his life.

Jeff's love for hunting was matched only by the love he had for his family. He was

a dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and he made it his

mission to ensure that his loved ones knew how much they meant to him. His

warmth and love will be missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on

in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will

gather to share stories, laughter, and memories of a man who touched so many

lives with his adventurous, loving, and passionate spirit.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Bill Allison. He is survived by his mother,

Ione Allison; wife, Joyce Allison; sons, Michael Allison and Bradley Allison;

daughter-in-laws, Debbie Allison and Gennifer Bennett-Allison; grandchildren,

Bree Allison and Liam Bennett-Allison; and brothers, Dan Allison and Chuck

Allison.
