Janeen was born on September 6, 1960 in Port Hueneme, California to Norman and Colleen (McWilliams) Adelman. In 1969, when she was nine years old, the family moved to Oregon. Her family lived in Stayton, and she graduated from Stayton High School. At age 19, Janeen got married and moved to Bremerton, Washington. Janeen also attended college to become a writer, and enjoyed writing poetry and short stories. In 2002 , she moved back to Stayton and a year later moved to Salem where she resided until her passing. Janeen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she enjoyed the friendship and sense of community the church provided. Janeen enjoyed calligraphy; she also loved music and singing, and enjoyed singing karaoke. Although she never had children, Janeen adored her pets throughout her life, especially her Chihuahuas and most recently her cat. Although very private, Janeen had a wonderful sense of humor. You couldn't help but join in when she got a case of the giggles. On December 9, 2020, Janeen joined her Heavenly Father, and family and friends who preceded her in death. She is survived by her parents, Norman and Colleen Adelman; sister, Colette Adelman and brother, Norman (Tammy) Adelman in addition to numerous extended family members.
