James William Viol
October 9, 1939 — February 28, 2023
James William Viol was born on October 9, 1939 in Joliet, Illinois to Edward Water and Lillian Sophia (Johnson) Viol. He would live in Illinois, California and Colorado. He married Terry on June 13, 1964, in Aurora, Colorado. They were blessed with five children- Melody, Richard, Robin, Daniel and David.
Throughout his life James would landscape, mill wright, and truck drive. He was a hard worker who enjoyed providing for his family.
When not working he enjoyed the outdoors and taking his sons to hunt deer. James could be described as a quiet and peaceful man. He was an avid Broncos fan and watched every game, held memorabilia, and even attended a Seahawks vs. Broncos game.
James resided in Aumsville, Oregon for the last 18 years with his sister, Joan. James passed away on February 28, 2023, in Aumsville, Oregon at age 83, surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillian Viol; siblings, John Viol and Joel Viol.
He is survived by his children, Melody, Richard, Robin, Daniel, and David; siblings, Joan, Jerald, Janice; grandchildren, Ashley, Sarah, Lindsay, Kayla, Tyler; great grandchildren, Cassidy Rose Diaz.
A Celebration of life will be planned.
