James Marvin Rishoff

September 5, 1947 — April 14, 2022

James Marvin Rishoff was born on September 5 th , 1947, to parents Marvin Edward Rishoff and Irene (Gustina) Rishoff, in Shelby, Montana. He graduated from Chester High School in Chester, Montana in 1966 and lived in Shelby and Havre Montana for many years. After high school he would marry his first wife in 1970, Nancy Marie Clark, until they later parted ways. They would raise two children together, Marvin and Cindy. James was a loving father and hard worker.

Later on, he moved to Kalispell, MT and would go on to meet his second wife, Martha Beth Hensley. They would marry on September 1 st , 2002. James gained two step children from Martha’s previous marriages, a daughter, Deborah Harpine, and a son, William Chilton. Later on in life, James was additionally blessed to become a grandfather to his three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

James spent many years of his life in the automotive industry, he would hold many positions such as selling car insurance, selling cars, and working in automotive care. Later he would go into semiconductor production work. When not working, he often enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling, and snowmobiling. In addition, James was a proud Vikings fan and would later become a Seahawks fan for his wife, as long as they weren’t playing the Vikings!

On April 14, 2022, James passed away in Albany, Oregon at age,74. If his family could share what he would be remembered for the most it would be his strong mind, persistence, and his sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin; his mother, Irene; his sister, Jeane; his brother, Claude, Jr. who passed in the line of duty during the Korean War, and his late wife; Marti. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and his great grandchildren.
