James "Jim" M. Reiser

James M. Reiser was born on a farm in Osseo, MN and the second child to Meinrad and Elizabeth Reiser. He moved to Sublimity Oregon the fall of 1947, graduating from St. Boniface High School in 1950. James would spend two years in the Army during the Korean War and attained the rank of Sergeant. After being honorably discharged, James would complete a Bachelor of Science degree in business and chemistry at OSU in 1959. He would work for State Farm Insurance for 34 ½ years, retiring in 1995. Additionally, James owned some rentals in Salem and worked on the family farm. He enjoyed fishing with friends from work and the solitude of country living. James passed away in Sublimity, Oregon on May 22, 2021. James was preceded in death by both of his parents and a sister, Mary McDonald. He is survived by his brother, Francis Reiser and sister, Patricia Zandonatti. At his request no services will take place, private placement in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
