James Harlen Harris

Lebanon- James Harlen Harris was born on August 9, 1943 in Dunsmuir, California to Harlen Harris and Anna Lee Dobbs. He would live most of his life in California and the last several years resided Lebanon, Oregon. Previously, James lived in California residing in Hatcreek, Tuolumne and Redding, which is where he would meet the love of his life. On a blind date, he would meet Linda Lee McWilliams. Eventually, they would marry on January 15, 1972 in Redding, California.   James was an incredibly hard worker and had a career with a plywood mill where he would pull green chain at just 16 years old and he would do this until age 50 when he retired. His best days were spent either fishing or spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.    On May 22, 2021 James passed away in Lebanon, Oregon surrounded by family.  He was preceded in passing by his Parents, Harlen and Anna; Sister, Luanne and Grandson, Christopher. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; Children, James (Monique) Harris Jr. , Chuck Harris, Amanda (Cail) Holder, Katy (Richard) McIntire, and Zhanna (Jason) Goodman; Grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Alica, Brittney, Joshua, Zack, Coby, Daniel, Mathuew, Joseph, Hailey and Phoebe ; Great-grandchildren, Kyle, Zoey Joshua Jr. Kora Riley, Emma, and Ellie; and Brothers, Edward and Jerry.
